West Ham are interested in signing CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder Alan Dzagoev, according to the Daily Mail. The newspaper also reports that Everton are tracking the 26 year old.

The Russian international scored for CSKA at Wembley last night but it wasn’t enough to prevent his side losing 3-1 to Tottenham in the Champions League group stage match.

Dzagoev has been linked with moves to the Premier League in the past. Both Chelsea and Spurs have been rumoured as possible destinations but the player has never been subject to a bid from an English club.

The midfielder has struggled with consistency over the years, but there is no doubt he is rated as one of Russia’s most talented players. He has 50 caps for his country, scoring nine goals, whilst for his club, since making his senior debut back in 2008, he has made 284 appearances for CSKA, scoring 62 goals and making 78 assists for his team mates.
