The inquest into what went on at White Hart Lane at the weekend must still be rumbling on at West Ham.

For most of the game at The Lane between Tottenham and West Ham it was the side in claret and blue that were in control as they threatened to put in a performance worthy of last year’s displays.

They were organised, quick to attack and take chances and kept out a Spurs side that looked simply like it had run out of answers.

Twice West Ham led and going into the final few minutes they looked like they would get a deserved victory until they completely went to pieces.

First Harry Kane scored Spurs’ equaliser into an open goal and then Havard Nordtveit gave away a shocking penalty to properly throw the game away.

It was a shocking turn of events and certain players need to hold their hands up and take the blame for it.
