West Ham are one of a number of Premier League teams waiting in the wings and ready to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge if he leaves Anfield, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Hammers were in the market for a new centre forward over the course of the summer and have added Simone Zaza, Jonathan Calleri and Andre Ayew to Slaven Bilic’s squad.
However, with the London side seemingly still missing a predatory force in the final third, Sturridge would be an exciting addition if West Ham could pull the deal off.
The England international is not an automatic first choice at the Merseyside club under Jurgen Klopp and has been visibly frustrated at times this season.
Sturridge has also been vocal in his desire to play as a centre forward rather than on the flanks.
The report suggests that if Liverpool look to cut their losses on the temperamental attacker, West Ham, Stoke City and Sunderland are all ready to break the bank for him.
