West Ham’s chances of landing Simone Zaza look good after recent talk from Slaven Bilic and the player’s father, but Arsenal have emerged as surprise suitors for the Juventus attacker, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Hammers have been linked with the Italy international for a long time and the former Sassuolo man looks increasingly likely to leave Turin this summer as speculation ramps up.

Bilic has admitted that Zaza is an option for the London club, who are short of forwards following injuries to both Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew, while the player’s agent and father, Antonio, has also spoken of a move to the Premier League club for the forward.

Arsenal themselves are being linked with a striker move to provide competition for Olivier Giroud.

The latest report suggests that Arsene Wenger’s men are considering Zaza as a possible option, which would spell bad news for West Ham’s chances of landing the Italian attacker, albeit there are suggestions the Irons are close to sealing the 25-year-old’s arrival.
