West Ham United are set to offer a huge £37 million package to Lyon in a bid to sign Alexandre Lacazette.

According to twitter account @Futbol_Agent_, West Ham have lodged a bid of £35 million and it is currently under consideration. It is expected that the Hammers will boost the fee to £37 million with add-ons as they finally look to capture their number one target.

Reliable source ExWHUemployee also claims that David Sullivan is ready to force Lyon’s hand in a move for Lacazette.

The French club have already stated that they will not entertain any offers for their star striker after 30 June. At this particular moment in time, West Ham remain the only club to have tabled a concrete offer for the striker as French champions Paris Saint Germain have reportedly dropped their interest in the 24-year-old.

The Hammers had a £32 million bid rejected by Lyon this week but West Ham are determined to get their man by submitting a very attractive offer for the striker.

Lacazette has tweeted his appreciation for Dimitri Payet recently as the West Ham man continues to perform brilliantly at the European Championships. The French pair are understood to be good friends and the Hammers feel confident that an opportunity to play with Payet could be an attractive proposition for Lacazette.

With no other clubs currently interested in the striker, a £37 million bid could be enough for Lyon to accept. However, if this bid is rejected, it looks likely that the Hammers will drop interest in the forward and pursue other targets.
