Gold and Sullivan are shrewd businessmen and the club are working extremely hard to secure the signings of some top strikers.
Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi are two strikers from Ligue 1 who West Ham have submitted bids for, but at this stage it is unlikely that either forward will join the East London side as Batshuayi closes in on a move to Chelsea and Lacazette is not interested in joining the Hammers.
However, there are various strikers who would bring something different to the table and would probably be less expensive than the two French league strikers.
