West Ham United are in the running to sign MK Dons starlet Ryan Sweeney, but The Daily Star state that both Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in the young defender also.

The 19-year-old centre-half has broken through at the League Two club and has impressed in recent outings for the side.

The report insinuates that Sweeney is set to make his 12th league start of the campaign this weekend as the Dons face Newport County.

West Ham have been accredited with an interest, but both North London sides, Liverpool and Burnley are all listed as fellow suitors.

Sweeney has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at under-18’s level and is being tipped to play at the top level of club football in the future.

The Hammers have been quick to sign a number of young players in recent months as they look to bolster the talent in the junior and reserve ranks at the Boleyn Ground.
