West Ham United had scouts at last weekend’s clash between Belgian Pro League pair Oostende and Westerlo according to Voetbal Nieuws, with Gohi Bi Cyriac and Bruno Godeau the subject of their attention.

The Hammers are on a recruitment drive to back up an impressive debut campaign under Slaven Bilic and are said to be scouring Europe for top talent.

Cyriac is an Ivory Coast international striker who has captured the eye this season for Oostende with his pace and goalscoring.

The 25-year-old has represented his nation four times, scoring once, and is expected to end up in one of Europe’s top divisions at the culmination of the summer.

Godeau is a 23-year-old defender on loan at Westerlo from Zulte Waregem and has also impressed with consistent showings this term.

The former Belgium under-21 international is expected to return to his parent club this summer, but there is every chance that he could leave his homeland for a foreign adventure.
