West Ham United’s attacking talisman Dimitri Payet has committed himself to the club and poured cold water on rumblings he could leave the Hammers this summer, in great news to the supporters.

The France international has had an inspired first season in English football after moving to the London club from Marseille last summer.

Payet was rightly voted the club’s Player of the Year and made it into the final PFA shortlist for his stunning performances also.

However, the 29-year-old’s excellent showings for the Clarets have seen him linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Despite this, Payet has stated that a new contract that he signed with Slaven Bilic’s men relatively recently shows his commitment to the club and that he is most likely to be with the Hammers next season.

“The media are sending me everywhere. I currently have no contact with any other club,” Eurosport quote Payet as saying.

“I signed a long deal with West Ham. I should probably remain there next season.”

West Ham have stated they will not sell any of their best players this summer.
