Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has stated that he wants to keep hotshot striker Alexandre Lacazette out of West Ham United’s clutches this summer.

The Hammers are readying themselves for the historic move to the Olympic Stadium, with the acquisition of a deadly centre forward the priority in this summer’s transfer market.

Although the London club have been linked with a lot of different attackers, Lacazette’s name has been banded out frequently in recent weeks.

The France international has had another prolific season in front of goal, with only Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring more goals than him in Ligue 1 this term.

Despite the Hammers’ interest in Lacazette, Aulas has stated that he has ambitions of keeping the star in France and that Barcelona are not interested in the striker.

“I would like to keep Alexandre Lacazette,” The Daily Star quote him as saying.

“I have met with the Barcelona president recently, he did not speak to me about Alex.”

Lacazette is in the running to feature for France at this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament on home soil and is widely tipped to move to one of Europe’s major leagues afterwards.
