Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce is committed to signing West Ham forward Diafra Sakho this summer and will offer £10 million for the attacker’s services, according to The Daily Mail.

The former Hammers boss kept the Wearside outfit in the top flight last term and is excepted to be handed a considerable amount of money to spend this summer.

Allardyce brought Sakho to English football and knows better than most what the versatile striker is capable of when fit and firing.

The African attacker’s future at West Ham is up in the air following a reported bust-up with Slaven Bilic, where Sakho believed he was set to start against Arsenal but the nod was instead given to Andy Carroll.

As such, the forward is repeatedly being linked with an exit from the Boleyn Ground side, with the Hammers eager to sign at least one new striker this summer anyway as a possible high-profile replacement.
