West Ham United forward Emmanuel Emenike has stated that he is fulfilling his dream by playing in the Premier League and has thanked the London club’s fans for their support.

The Nigeria international striker moved to the Boleyn Ground in January on a loan deal from Fenerbahce, but is looking likely to leave in the summer.

Emenike has started five Premier League games for Slaven Bilic’s men this term and helped the club fire itself into the top six.

The former Al Ain attacker has stated that he has been taken aback by the support of the West Ham faithful.

“It was always my ambition to play in the Premier League and I love it here,” he told True Africa.

“The atmosphere at West Ham is good and the fans are fantastic. They love the little things you do for them on the pitch, and when you are down, they get behind to motivate you.

“I have not had that at many other clubs except perhaps at Spartak.”

Bilic is expected to shuffle his attacking options this summer, with every likelihood that Emenike will be sent back to Fenerbahce and that West Ham will not make his move to England permanent.

The Hammers are being linked with a host of new strikers and are expected to land a big name attacker ahead of moving to the Olympic Stadium next season.
