It was hardly a surprise when the club announced Morgan Amalfitano’s departure from West Ham.

His exit means that the Hammers may be looking for a replacement in the near future and according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, the Hammers are interested in Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

West Ham have been linked with a number of Besiktas players since Slaven Bilic’s arrival at the club and it is understood that the Croatian still remains closely connected with Ozyakup.

The 23-year-old can play in a variety of midfield positions and is comparable to Amalfitano due to his relaxed, skilful approach to the game.

Previously at Arsenal, Ozyakup was sold to Besiktas in 2012 for €500,000. He is now estimated to be worth around £15 million as he continues to impress in the Turkish Superlig.

In just six league games so far this season, he has scored one and assisted four, that’s almost Dimitri Payet form! Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in re-signing the midfielder but his first team opportunities will be limited due to the amount of options in midfield for the Gunners.

Ozyakup has started the season in fine form

The Turkish international has already appeared 12 times for his country, scoring once. If there is money available in January for Bilic to spend, a player of Ozyakup’s quality would be an excellent addition to an already talented squad.

Looks good if we got him as well as the other players we know have would make a complete squad of quality player we have been craving for. Bilic is the man to make us the complete team for the new stadium we now can mix it withe the best in the premier league now I don’t even get to concerned when we r defending in like previous seasons where we would concede very time.
