Andy CarrollChelsea – 26th December
This will be one of the toughest games of the season for us, and although on paper normally this game is a write off points wise, we need to put in a strong performance. Chelsea have been outstanding this year and deserve to be on top of the table, yet they have been brought to their expensive knees twice this season by the cold North-Eastern breezes brought in by Sunderland and Newcastle. Premier League strugglers Sunderland held Chelsea to a deserved 0-0 draw, whilst Newcastle United (an unpredictable team this season if ever there was one) became the first club to defeat Chelsea this season. It’s worth mentioning that we didn’t exactly fare much better against Sunderland than Chelsea did, but we did put in a top performance against Newcastle.

Chelsea are undoubtedly a tough side this year, but we held them last year with what was a far weaker squad fielded by the Hammers than what we’ll have available this year. I think we’ll come away with a draw, but there will be goals scored by both sides in this encounter.
Draw
Arsenal – 28th December
Arsenal are a funny one – we lost to them twice last year, and no matter what form they have in the lead up to games with us, they always give us one heck of a game. This year Arsenal have struggled to retain their stronghold on fourth place in the league and losses to Stoke, Man Utd and Swansea have frustrated fans. In Europe, however, the Gunners look sleeker, sharper and far more lethal. It’s hard to predict which side will show up on the day, so the key for West Ham will be to keep team superstar Alexis Sanchez quiet irrespective of whether the European or the Domestic Gunners turn up.

I hate to say it, but I think they will come out swinging and we will have an uphill battle – and Arsenal, should they be in full stride, might just pip us to the points.
Loss
West Bromwich Albion – 1st January
I swear we just played these guys and ground out an intense result against them, but ho hum let’s go again. I felt for them on their last visit, which was maybe five minutes ago, because they threw absolutely everything at us to try to come out with a point. I’m not saying we didn’t play well, but it was just not West Brom’s day. Saido Berahino isn’t hitting the back of the net as often as he was towards the start of the season, but the man is quick, sharp and absolutely lethal on the break.

If we play the same way we did last time, and remember to effectively mark Berahino, we should be able to take another 3 points from them.
Win

Perhaps it’s optimistic, but is it okay that I’d like to get at least four points from these next games? How do you think we’ll get on against the aforementioned teams? Let us know below!

I agree apart from the arsenal result! Weve bin pretty formidable at home this season and I think if we play 2 our potential we will beat them so 7 points from these 3 games wud b a fantastic result and that should tighten our grip on 4th place!

Song has a point to prove,

I expect him to be outstanding
    In this game ,

Think AC and Sakho will dominate Cahill and Terry on Boxing Day. With Song, Kouyate, Nolan and Downing on form plus good crosses and tracking back from Jenks and Creswell I think we can take the Chelski game, maybe just the one goal in it. You’re giving Arsenal too much credit. We will give them real problems at the back. Their zonal marking against a 10 man Liverpool for the Skrtel goal tonight was pathetic. We will destroy them at set pieces as well as open play from the flanks.
If we win all three I’m sure Coral will shorten last week’s 2000/1 odds on Irons for the Prem.

    Less than 3 – it’s all over.
3 – one win is the minimum acceptable, but three draws would be a great extension to our unbeaten run.
    4 – perfectly realistic.
5 – a win and two draws would be fantastic but not a massive surprise in our current form.
6 – beating Chelsea and Arsenal then losing to West Brom would mean that BFS has finally grasped the traditional West Ham Way!
7 – The best possible result! Barcelona, we’re coming for you!
8 – Not going to happen. Really.
9 – Yay!!! Safe from relegation!!!!
