Andy Carroll LiverpoolSo, yet again, we rose to rumours of West Ham’s Andy Carroll being offered to Newcastle United.

With the Hammers obvious change of style under Sam Allardyce this season and the former Liverpool man’s continual time in the treatment room makes the rumours all too easy to make.

Reportedly Carroll, who is West Ham’s record signing, was a target for Alan Pardew in the summer. However, things seem to be more concrete with the January transfer window approaching and a £9million move is being touted.

The England international is one of West Ham’s highest earners and, given the impressive form of Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia, coupled with further attacking options in Mauro Zarate, Carlton Cole and Elliot Lee, Carroll’s opportunities may well be limited.

In my opinion it would be stupid to let Andy go last year we had no plan b and we got found out game after game . Just imagine if we are a goal down with say 30 minutes to go and we have Andy coming off the bench or Shako or Valencia. Having an old fashion number 9 along with the quality we now have with our forward line is a mouth watering prospect as far as I am concerned.
