Mark NobleFormer West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has heaped the praise on West Ham midfielder Mark Noble ahead of Queens Park Rangers’ visit to Upton Park on Sunday.

Redknapp, who managed the Irons for nearly sevens years, was speaking to ClaretandHugh, he said:

“The boy is claret and blue through and through  – I don’t believe he will ever leave the club.”

“Mark is a throwback to the days when club loyalty was everything and it’s really refreshing to see.

“People have often wondered and asked why no club has come in for such a good player but the answer is obvious, he’s a Hammer to his backbone.

“I believe at one time I was told there was some interest from Fulham but I just don’t see it happening.

“For me he’s a top player. I have a lot of admiration for him and his game. I can’t ever see him moving on.”

If a bigger club wanted him then he’d be with them. The reason he isn’t is because he isn’t good enough for a better team. I’m claret and blue through and through – means nothing in regards to if your a good player or not. There is a very good reason why no club has been in for him AND the reason he hasn’t played for the full England team – slooooooow.

Probably not enough assists nor goals to catch the eye of top clubs and not a massive physical presence as a holding player. No need to move on now as West Ham are becoming a bigger club with new Stadium etc. Whatever the reason great to see his loyalty to West Ham and I believe he is a very good player true to our passing traditions. Also seems a really nice guy too.

Mac …. you are so right . You have restored my faith in my fellow Hammers . Thought I was the only one who can see that he is no where near good enough for England or the Hammers …… sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Well according to Tony Cottee, Noble’s name needs to be the first name pencilled into the starting 11 every week, now you don’t get that sort of accolade from a former West Ham great if you aren’t a good player, stop kidding yourselves folks, his is damned good, so damned good that without him we would had dropped staright back into the championship, he is the glue that holds West Ham together and his absence is one of the main reasons we lost to United on Saturday, so give some credit where it’s due, and it is absolutely ludicrous that he has never been picked for his national team

    • rivieralet says:

I bet you believe everything you read . It was his inability that got us in the position we were . His absence had nothing to do with losing on Saturday ..lets hope the injury takes as long to heal as Carrols .

Geez, why have you lot all turned on Mark? Not so long ago he was everyones hero, and yes when someone who has been as good as Tony Cottee says things like that, you have to take note, but I can tell you by seeing with my own eyes that I think he is a damned good player, he may not be the most skifull, but he gives 100% for every game, and if a player gives 100% of what the manager asks of him, then the manager can ask no more and there is no way the manager can take anything out on him but continue to select him. Mark’s work ethic is so high he reminds me of Steve Perryman of Spurs, who also, was not as talented as the greats but for work ethic and being a total team man, and in Mark’s case he is West Ham through and through 100%, and I’ll stand by what I’ve said, as whenever the chips are down, Mark is always there, so why the Fecken hell are you lot no longer there, fecken get real and get behind the lad

Sorry Johnnny Mac but he is yesterdays hero . We had a terrible squad so you all voted him Player of the year for being loyal . He has little to offer apart from turning up every week and not making waves . He has no pace and is very limited in all aspects of the game .

Cant understand why you guys dont admire Mark. If you watched the game against Liverpool he was absoultely brilliant, controlled the game, tackled and works his socks off for the team. He is absolute class and should definately be picked for the national team over players like Fabian Delph. COYI
