West Ham have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of a striker, after Inter Milan’s Diego Milito decided against a move to the Premier League, reports the Daily Mirror.
Milito is thought to want a move back to his native Argentina in the summer, with former club Racing his desired destination and isn’t keen on a temporary move this transfer window.
Despite the 34-year-old’s reluctance to leave, the Serie A side remain keen to get the striker’s £4.5-million-a-year wages off their wage bill.
The Mirror also reported that Sam Allardyce will now focus on Standard Liege’s forward Michy Batshuayi and Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan
