Carlton ColeThe Daily Mail are reporting that Carlton Cole is off to join Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers.

Carlton was expected to join the Irons but apparently we weren’t ‘that’ desperate to sign an unfit Cole (let alone a fit one).

CC is a nice guy and loves West Ham but in Mladen Petric I feel we have a better player (but what do I know).

Good luck to the big man.

Petric may well be a better striker and he just has to be more profilic than CC.

But it’s about numbers, we need 4 strikers (even though 2 of them are crap) CC fits into Sam’s style of play perfectly.

My hope is that as we only have one place left in our squad we have filled it with Marica.

Marica – champions league or a season in relegation fight, knowing that as soon as carroll comes back (no matter what he has achieved) he would be on the bench??
      Tough one that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when was the last time BFS played with 2 up top?
maiga cant play in the EPL, not good enough. Same with Vaz Te.
been linked with US striker, but he will go to Italy.
build a team round carroll, when he is not injured, BFS is DELUDED as ever!!!!!!!!!

have you checked out Terrence boyds goals m8 I suggest you do what a finisher he looks

  • Mick Haynes says:

    Should of signed Jordan rhodes

It’s not just the strikers fault! The service provided to them is awful.

I know people are getting on maiga’s back but his style does suit how we are playing. The vast majority of strikers wld like crap.

Kicking the ball into the box without aiming it or even seeing if someone’s there will not get you many goals!

Sam has got us set up at the back perfect and love that we are hard to beat but going forward he hasn’t got a clue.

All the best to Carlton, I hope he scores tons of goals for QPR. He was a genuine Hammers man…totally committed.
Good luck Carlton and thank you for your contribution at WHUFC

The crosses being put into the box are for AC type players-which we don’t have just now.So why not a different approach ? MJ,MM RM are all quick, nimble players use those talents rather than”hit & hope”into the pen area ?

ive thought this for a bit now but as I saidin my earlier post the lad boyd scores with both feet and can head the ball too hard low crosses in to the box and he would punish defences
