Football is known as the ‘beautiful game’. Supporters get so passionate about their club, and of course, this divides opinions across the board. This is no different when talking about West Ham United, Sam Allardyce, the players, and the supporters themselves.

None of us are ever really right or wrong, and this is what makes it so great. I write my articles in order to spark debate, to play devil’s advocate, and you can see from some of the responses I get, and of course the other writers, that there is passion and disagreement with the things I write. I like to think I have a pretty good knowledge of football having played at a pretty high standard during my younger days, and also gaining coaching certificates during college and after. But that doesn’t make me more qualified than the rest of you to be right with what I say.
I have had many a debate through Twitter with other West Ham supporters about Big Sam, the board, which player is good or bad, which player we should be signing. With the debates that I’ve had, its never got nasty, or unsavoury, if we cannot agree, we ‘shake hands’ and carry on. I don’t ever want to fall out with a West Ham fan about our club, and I would like to think that we can resolve our differences in opinions like adults, without the need to swear or abuse the other person.
For me, I think the club is in a fantastic position right now. We are getting sorted financially, the Chairmen are putting money where their mouths are in the transfer market, Big Sam is gradually turning the club around, and has done it in just two seasons. We are getting a good squad together and attracting players of higher quality. Lots of you won’t agree with that, but there we go.
The one thing I do know is that we all have one thing in common, and that’s we all want what is best for our club to be successful, and that’s not an opinion, its a fact!
