West Ham United. One of the biggest and most successful clubs in the Championship. We are currently sitting second in the league and are (finally) playing well.
We are, on paper, the biggest threat in the league this season and surely on course for promotion. The question is are we disliked in the league for being who we are, just as fans in the Premier League dislike the Man City’s because they are the best team?
There surely is some jealousy with many fans who no doubt view us as the team that shouldn’t be in the league and will resent us because, well lets face it we are better than them (COYI). I for one know a select few Crystal Palace fans who constantly criticise our style of play and our current league standing even though we are better placed than them plainly because they are jealous of us.
I’m sure that for many teams like Bristol City playing at the Boleyn against West Ham United must be like their FA cup final, playing on a prestigious pitch in front of some of the best fans in the country. We are something that most Championship teams will never be, a highly followed, successful, massive football club. However I do believe some teams will be genuinely surprised that we are second place not first.
When we were relegated we was almost certain to cruise the whole season at the top of the table defeating everyone but even though we are having a good season it hasn’t quite panned out like that but I’m sure as the team continue to gel we will continue our fine form and conquer the league.
There will always be a select number of fans that don’t like us just because of who we are but I think the others will genuinely respect us for who we are and just forget us as we are somewhat out of reach. We are a side with the opportunity of success and some people just won’t like it no matter what anyone says.
Well, people will definately hate us more now after reading this rubbish!

If you ever actually go to a game, I’d be surprised. You say we’re playing well, we’re not, if you’d seen the 1st half against Derby you’d know better. They successfully stifled us completely and only their lack of match fitness opened up spaces for us. We’re not playing well by design also, we’re doing what is necessary to get back where we know we belong and where every other championship supporter alse knows we belong- the premiership.
Why do you even bother when you can’t write and have no idea what you are talking about, you make West Ham fans look dafter than the level headed and wiser than average supporters we are.
Sam must have given them a huge size 9 at HT. I watched a different team come out 2nd half. Good result all the same. COYI!
What a complete load of tripe this article is! I’m sure this will only make other supporters dislike us more. To state, we could cruise the season, you must be living in cuckoo land, if you had an ounce of sense you wouldnt waste your time posting anything ever again.

Optimism? It reads more like self indulgent and arrogant mate. Most Hammers fans that I know understand that we are exactly where we should be after the team performances and boardroom shenanigans of the last few seasons.

West Ham deserve to be in the championship because we’ve been crap for ages… Sam has got rid of the dead wood and there are shoots of optimism but don’t mistake that for arrogance… Nobody has a right to promotion, it has to be earnt and foolish talk of crusing through the championship proves your not a real fan, I bet you haven’t been to upton park in years… Stop the ‘we deserve’ lines and leave them for spurs, the most hated team in the land (Parker excluded)!!!
